Feast took birth over a shared meal on a train. The seed of its possibility took root among the VBWIM board and grew into a festival that many other hands nourished through their sponsorship, leadership, encouragement, presence, and support As a festival of word, image, and table, Feast offers space for women to preach in a variety of styles, emphasizes the richness and importance of imagery through its celebration of the arts, and sets tables for the communal experiences of shared meals.

Feast has become our signature event, and is now held the first Friday of May at a Richmond area church.  The first details about the upcoming Feast usually appear in March, and registration opens by April.

Feast 2017: Event Details

Our theme this year is Transitions, and our worship and fellowship will focus on navigating the change that comes through different aspects and seasons of our lives as we seek to live out our call as faithful ministers of Christ. Our theme will be animated by the following scripture:

“Remember that I have commanded you to be determined and confident! Do not be afraid or discouraged, for I, the Lord your God, am with you wherever you go.”
~ Joshua 1:9 (GNT)
